Celebrating Kayleigh’s Appointment as Registered Manager
Becoming a Registered Manager is a significant professional milestone and for Kayleigh, it represents determination, growth, and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality care for children with learningdisabilities.
Kayleigh describes the achievement as something she is “incredibly proud” of, especially having reached this point within such a short period of time. For her, it reflects not only professional progression, but resilience, self-belief, and a deep-rooted passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
A Journey of Growth and Courage
Kayleigh joined Prime Nurture Services as Deputy Manager when the company opened its first learning disability home, Cybele House. With a strong background in supporting children with learning disabilities, she felt confident in understanding complex needs, communication differences, and the importance of person-centred care.
When the Manager position became available, Kayleigh initially questioned whether she was ready to take on the responsibility. However, choosing to step outside of her comfort zone became a defining moment in her journey. She applied, was successful at interview, and began her role as Acting Manager in September 2025.
Just a few months later, in December 2025, the home underwent its first Ofsted inspection under her leadership achieving a ‘Good’ judgement overall. For Kayleigh, this was an incredibly proud moment. It reflected not only her leadership, but the hard work, dedication, and teamwork embedded within the home.
In February, she officially became Registered Manager marking the next chapter in her leadership journey.
Leading with Purpose
Kayleigh’s motivation to become a Registered Manager stems from a desire to make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of children and young people. Stepping into leadership allows her to shape the culture, standards, and stability of the home ensuring care is safe, nurturing, therapeutic, and tailored to each child’s individual needs.
She is particularly passionate about helping children understand that their past does not define their future. Her vision is for every young person at Cybele House to feel valued, believed in, and empowered to achieve their aspirations.
As a mother herself, the responsibility of ensuring children are cared for safely and compassionately carries even deeper meaning. For Kayleigh, being a Registered Manager means being trusted to make decisions that genuinely impact children’s lives and embracing that responsibility with care and integrity.
Strength Through Challenge
Kayleigh’s journey has not been without its challenges. From overcoming initial self-doubt to leading a relatively new home through its first Ofsted inspection, resilience has been key.
One particularly challenging experience involved supporting a young person whose full needs had not been accurately shared prior to admission. Navigating this required adaptability, strengthened risk assessments, collaborative work with external professionals, and reflective practice with her team. Rather than viewing it as a setback, Kayleigh saw it as an opportunity to grow stronger as a leader and reinforce the importance of professional curiosity and robust planning.
Investing in Development
Kayleigh continues to invest in her professional growth and is currently working towards her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. Combined with her hands-on experience, mentoring, supervision, and ongoing learning, she has built a confident and knowledgeable leadership style grounded in both regulation and compassion.
Looking ahead, her goals include building on the home’s ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement and working towards ‘Outstanding’, strengthening reflective practice, and continuing to develop a skilled, motivated, and valued staff team.
A Vision for Cybele House
Kayleigh’s vision for Cybele House is clear:
A home where children feel genuinely cared for, safe, and supported.
An environment built on stability, growth, and aspiration.
A workplace where staff feel valued, guided, and proud of the difference they make.
She believes that when adults feel supported and motivated, the impact on children is powerful and transformative.
Advice for Future Leaders
For colleagues who aspire to progress within Prime Nurture, Kayleigh’s advice is both practical and inspiring:
Stay focused on your goals. Take leaps of faith, even when it feels uncomfortable. Growth often comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone. Be persistent, resilient, and open to learning, and trust that opportunities will come.
Kayleigh’s journey reflects Prime Nurture’s commitment to nurturing leadership from within and creating clear progression pathways for those passionate about making a difference.
Congratulations, Kayleigh we are proud to see the continued positive impact you are making at Cybele House and beyond.
