For Karl, this achievement is more than a title. It represents hard work, growth, and a deep-rooted passion for supporting young people to lead positive futures.

A Journey of Progression

Karl joined Prime Nurture in July 2025 as an Acting Manager. From the very beginning, his leadership qualities, determination, and child-centred approach were clear to see. His recent registration marks an important milestone, not only for him personally but for the home and team he now leads.

His journey into management began much earlier, starting his career in residential care as a Support Worker. It was during those early days that he recognised his long-term ambition to step into a position where he could guide, influence, and shape positive outcomes for young people on a wider scale.

Building Knowledge and Leadership

Throughout his career, Karl has invested heavily in his development. He has completed a wide range of courses and workshops, strengthening his understanding of regulations, frameworks, and best practices within residential care. This dedication ensures that the children in his care receive the highest standards of support, and that his team benefits from knowledgeable, confident leadership.

Like any meaningful journey, there were challenges along the way. Karl credits resilience and a clear end goal: supporting and helping as many children and young people as possible as the driving forces that kept him moving forward.

A Role Built on Purpose

When asked what he is most proud of, Karl reflects on the young people he has supported who are now living positive, independent lives and even raising families of their own. Seeing those long-term outcomes is, for him, the true measure of success.

Becoming a Registered Manager means being trusted to make decisions that shape futures for both children and colleagues. It is a responsibility Karl embraces fully. Having once been guided by outstanding leadership himself, he is passionate about offering the same support and opportunities to his team.

“For my team, they will have the same opportunity and learning I once had. As for the children, they are the reason we come to their homes each day. I hope to create positive outcomes and an environment that allows them to flourish.”
