We spoke to a couple of our incredible team members about what it’s like to work in our homes, the challenges they face, and the moments that make it all worthwhile.

Meet Darragh – Deputy Manager

What does your role entail?

“My role is all about being flexible and reliable. No two days are the same, and I’m always ready to adapt to whatever is needed to support the children and the team.”

What are the challenges in your role?

“The biggest challenge for me is the frustration that comes with knowing the traumatic experiences our children have gone through. It’s tough, but it motivates me to do better every day.”

What are the highlights within your role?

“Improving in my role and meeting the children’s needs—seeing them happy and thriving—is what makes this job so rewarding.”

Meet Tammy – Therapeutic Support Worker

What does your role entail?

“My role is to love, care for, and support the children in our home. It's really that simple and that important.”

What are the challenges in your role?

“Sometimes it’s hard when you can’t relate to what the children have been through. Their experiences are so unique and complex, and that can be difficult to navigate. But the home provides extra training, which helps us better understand and respond to their needs.”

What are the highlights within your role?

“I’ve had access to so much training, and that’s been a game-changer. It’s helped me grow, not just in my role, but as a person. I feel equipped, knowledgeable, and empowered to make a real difference.”
